Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is

Intense, useful clinical information in an innovative and entertaining format

Welcome to Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is! This meeting provides intense, useful clinical information in an innovative and entertaining format. It is no surprise that we have sold out each of our four previous meetings given an All-Star faculty providing the highest quality uncensored education at an affordable price.

I have just finished reading nearly 500 evaluations and we are adding more faculty, more topics, and more fireworks! We want every attendee to depart Naples more confident about delivering the best possible surgical care.

Check out the program agenda and welcome aboard! You have my promise that this meeting is unlike any other that you have ever attended anywhere on the planet.

Exhibiting and Sponsorship Opportunities

Dear Industry Friend:

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate as an exhibitor and a corporate sponsor in the sixth annual Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is! The meeting will be held Thursday, January 14th—Sunday, January 17th 2016 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.

Devoted entirely to new technology, challenging cases, and the management of surgical complications, this meeting will feature some of the best teachers in Ophthalmology. The faculty consists of: Robert Osher, MD; Ike Ahmed, MD, FRCSC; Warren Hill, MD; Richard Mackool, MD; Michael Snyder, MD; Lisa Arbisser, MD; Robert Weinstock, MD; William Fishkind, MD, FACS; Deepinder Dhaliwal, MD; Steven Vold, MD; John Pinto; Jeff Odel, MD; Larry Patterson, MD; Donald Hood PhD; Steven Newman, MD; “Toby” Tyson, MD; Cathy McCabe, MD; Jonathan Solomon, MD; Keith Walter, MD; George Waring IV, MD; Anup Khatana MD; Christopher Riemann MD; Michael Hater, MD; James Osher, MD; Daniel Miller, MD, PhD; and RJ Mackool, MD. Abhay Vasavada, MD from India will be the International Guest of Honor.

In five short years, this meeting has become one of the largest ophthalmic meetings in the USA. In 2015, the attendance was just under 500 ophthalmologists and 108 companies exhibited. Moreover, this meeting offers a unique environment in which surgeons and members of the industry interact freely. Our attendees show up to learn at 7:00 AM and very few leave before 10:00 PM.

Our attitude also reflects a genuine partnership between Medicine and Industry. Thursday afternoon is dedicated to New Technology and every company is introduced at the podium. Our vendors have been extremely pleased with the expanded exhibit time and the promotion that we have initiated to assure booth traffic.

Furthermore, our exhibitors are invited to attend the meeting and enjoy the outstanding education provided by a world-class faculty. We also welcome their participation in all associated activities. This unique attitude is reflected by the evaluations that we receive from our exhibitors who are encouraged to make constructive criticisms and suggestions. The majority indicate that the meeting is either the best or among the best that they have ever attended!

The official sponsors are the Video Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati. The AAO is returning as the managing organization which insures a first class meeting. We’re confident that you will find that exhibiting at this symposium is a productive, educational, and rewarding experience at an outstanding venue. Please see the remaining pages of this prospectus for details on corporate sponsorship opportunities, contact information, and the preliminary program. For further details concerning the meeting, please visit our website:

We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and look forward to seeing you at the 2016 Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is!

Best Regards,
