Welcome

Welcome to Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is! This meeting provides intense, useful clinical information in an innovative and entertaining format. It is no surprise that we have sold out each of our four previous meetings given an All-Star faculty providing the highest quality uncensored education at an affordable price.

I have just finished reading nearly 500 evaluations and we are adding more faculty, more topics, and more fireworks! We want every attendee to depart Naples more confident about delivering the best possible surgical care.

Check out the program agenda and welcome aboard! You have my promise that this meeting is unlike any other that you have ever attended anywhere on the planet.

Exhibiting and Sponsorship Opportunities

Dear Industry Friend:

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate as an Exhibitor and a corporate sponsor in the seventh annual Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is! The meeting will be held Thursday, January 26th—Sunday, January 29th, 2017 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.

Devoted entirely to new technology, challenging cases, sub-specialty care, and the management of surgical complications, this meeting will feature some of the best teachers in ophthalmology. The faculty consists of: Douglas Koch, MD; Robert Osher, MD; Ike Ahmed, MD, FRCSC; Warren Hill, MD; Richard Mackool, MD; Michael Snyder, MD; Lisa Arbisser, MD; Robert Weinstock, MD; William Fishkind, MD, FACS; Deepinder Dhaliwal, MD; Steven Vold, MD; Larry Patterson, MD; Cathleen McCabe, MD; Toby Tyson, MD; James Augsburger, MD; Johnny Gayton, MD; Karl Golnik, MD; Robert Kersten, MD; Dee Stephenson, MD; Steve Safran, MD; Greg Ogawa, MD; Drs. Javiera & Mauricio Perez; Bret Fisher, MD; Sunil Srivastava, MD; Jonathan Solomon, MD; George Waring IV, MD; Anup Khatana, MD; Christopher Riemann, MD; Michael Hater, MD; James Osher, MD; Guadalupe Cervantes, MD; John Sheppard, MD; Mash Darvish, MD; Uday Devgan, MD; Drs. Dani & Fred Marques, and RJ Mackool, MD. Richard Packard, MD, DO, FRCS, FRCOphth from the UK will be the International Guest of Honor.

In six short years, this meeting has become one of the largest ophthalmic meetings in the USA. In
2016, the attendance was over 500 ophthalmologists and 115 companies exhibited. Moreover, this meeting offers a unique environment in which surgeons and members of the industry interact freely. There is a lot of time for conversations because our attendees come to learn, showing up at 7:00 AM and finally calling it quits at about 10:00 PM!

Our attitude also reflects a genuine partnership between Medicine and Industry. Thursday afternoon is dedicated to New Technology and we are introducing a new “Meet the Exhibitors” session. Our vendors have been extremely pleased with the expanded exhibit time and the promotion that we have initiated to assure booth traffic. Once again, there will be no increase in exhibitor prices.

Furthermore, our exhibitors are invited to attend the meeting and enjoy the outstanding education provided by a world-class faculty. We also welcome their participation in all associated activities. This unique attitude is reflected by the evaluations that we receive from our exhibitors who are encouraged to make constructive criticisms and suggestions. The majority indicate that the meeting is either the best or among the best that they have ever attended! (see accompanying quotations)

The official Sponsors are the Video Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati. The American Academy of Ophthalmology is returning as the managing partner which ensures a first class meeting. We’re confident that you will find exhibiting at this meeting to be
a productive, educational, and rewarding experience at an outstanding value. For further details regarding exhibiting or sponsor opportunities, contact Joanna Osher at either 513-569-3679 or jmosher@cincinnatieye.com.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and look forward to seeing you at the 2017 Cataract Surgery: Telling It Like It Is!

Best Regards,
